libvideo-ivtv-perl software package provides Perl extension for using V4l2 in the ivtv perl scripts, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libvideo-ivtv-perl
libvideo-ivtv-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libvideo-ivtv-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libvideo-ivtv-perl *
You will get with libvideo-ivtv-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
